Weekly Menu: 5 – 11 August 2019

Hoping you all are well and having a good weekend. We having a nice more relaxed weekend with not many functions, and its been really nice.

Benji Butter chicken is on Tuesday a real favourite! Chicken Pad Thai on Thursday we back on with Wed box meals this week, see the list below (plus we can make some of your favourites).

This week we became VAT registered, exciting but also nerve wrecking as we still want everyone to enjoy their meals with us. We ask that when one wants to pay us, to please wait for us to issue you a tax invoice which we will do as we get the order. Box meal orders to please do the same. Please use your invoice number as payment reference so we can pick up the invoice payment – THANK YOU.

Remember, with our soups we can make a delicious homemade ciabatta style bread to go with for R20 a loaf.

Weekly Menu: 5 – 11 August 2019

MONDAY 5 August
Normal: Carbonara Pasta – Bacon, ham and mushrooms in a creamy white wine sauce and served over penne pasta with a side of parmesan cheese
Low-Carb: served over cauliflower and sautéed sweet potatoes
Vegetarian: Creamy spinach and mushroom sauce over pasta with a side of parmesan cheese

TUESDAY 6 August
Normal: Benji Butter Chicken – nice and mild with basmati rice, carrots and peas
Low-Carb:  Served with brown rice, green beans and gem squash
Vegetarian: Mushroom butter sauce – nice and mild with basmati rice, carrots and peas

WEDNESDAY 7 August
Normal: Spaghetti bolognaise – a regular favourite served with a side parmesan cheese.
Low-Carb: Bolognaise sauce over baby marrow and carrot strings with a side of parmesan
Vegetarian: Vegetarian bolognaise – medley of veg in a tomato sauce over spaghetti

THURSDAY 8 August
Normal: Chicken Pad Thai – Our Pad Thai is characterized by rich, vibrant flavours of chicken breast sautéed with garlic, ginger, coriander, red chilli flakes, soya and vinegar, tossed in our home made Pad Thai sauce. Served on a bed of rice noodles, topped with scrambled egg, green onion and crushed peanuts.
Low-Carb: Sautéed chicken with peppers, coriander, ginger, soya and onions. Served with braised cabbage.
Vegetarian: Thai coconut veg curry – with lentil rice

FRIDAY 9 August
Normal: Braised Lamb – Soft meat with full of flavour with mash and steamed broccoli
Low-Carb – served with sweet potato mash and broccoli
Vegetarian: Lentil and veg shephards pie – Served with steamed broccoli

SATURDAY 10 August
Normal: Chicken Ciaccatore – Cacciatore means “hunter” in Italian. In cuisine, alla cacciatora refers to a meal prepared “hunter-style” with onions, herbs, tomatoes, peppers and wine. Served with rice and pumpkin.
Low Carb: served with brown rice and pumpkin
Vegetarian: Eggplant parmesan – Served with rice and pumpkin

SUNDAY 11 August
Normal: Roast Pork – slow cooked from early in the morning and served with rice, roast potatoes, vegetable medley and slow cooked gravy
Vegetarian: Medley of roasted veggies – served with rice, peas and butternut
